Our Vision

Pass the Pen is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit initiative dedicated towards bridging education disparities in marginalized communities. Founded on a community-centered project model, we promote equal access of resources/educational supplies and peer-to-peer mentorship in our organization.

Our organization is currently working on many diverse initiatives that strive for change in our community.

Educational Care Packages

Our team facillitates the preparation and distribution of educational care packages in marginalized communities in Ontario. These care packages include a variety of school supplies and are distributed during August for the upcoming school year.

Open Access Resource Library

The open access resource library initiative promotes equal access of high school course notes for students. We accept notes donations all year round for all subject areas and school districts.

Speaker Events

Our team frequently hosts guest speaker and panel events with speakers from a variety of educational and socio-economic backgrounds. Recently, we hosted a university student panel for highschoolers to get more insight into different programs and educational opportunities.

ESL Lessons

Student volunteers provide free ESL lessons to children internationally and new immigrants in Canada through our organization. This initiative operates on a "pay-it-forward" model where graduates of the program become future ESL lesson facilitators.
